Depending on the legal matter, legal representation in court is provided in civil, commercial, administrative, tax and criminal cases. In civil cases, the lawyer may represent natural and legal persons of different types. Legal entities include all commercial companies (Limited Liability Companies OOD/EOOD, Joint Stock Companies – AD/EAD, Limited Partnerships – KD, etc. In addition, this includes banking and non-banking institutions, other credit institutions, insurance companies, government institutions, government departments, municipalities, etc. Representation in administrative and tax matters is similar. Things are slightly different in criminal cases, at least with regards to the name of the legal representative. While in the first three types of cases we have a trustee or, more simply put, a representative, in criminal cases we have a defence counsel. Irrespective of the type of legal proceedings, it is extremely important for the lawyer to prepare a specific strategy and individual concept to protect the rights and interests of his/her clients to the maximum.
